Dr. Dianne Meney
Equine Veterinarian
Dr. Dianne Meney grew up between Canada and Australia and has been riding and working with horses from a young age. She spent many years with hands-on experience across dressage, jumping, polo, trail riding, and lesson programs, giving her a well rounded understanding of horses in many disciplines and a deep respect for the partnership between horse and rider.
Dianne graduated from Murdoch University in 2012 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. She went on to complete an internship at the prestigious Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital in Victoria, Australia, a busy equine referral hospital. There she gained extensive experience in medicine, reproduction, neonatal care, anaesthesia, and surgery, building a strong foundation in both routine and complex equine cases.
Following a serious riding accident and a lengthy recovery, Dianne transitioned to working in small animal emergency practice, further strengthening her skills in critical care, emergency management, and clinical decision making. She has since returned to her true passion of equine medicine and is thrilled to be practicing on the beautiful place she was born, Vancouver Island!
Dianne is committed to evidence based medicine, practical solutions, and clear communication. She enjoys working collaboratively with owners to ensure they feel heard, supported, and well informed about their horse’s care.
Outside of work, she enjoys riding and spending time with her own horse, Thor, to whom she is unapologetically devoted. In her entirely unbiased opinion, he is both handsome and perfect.
