Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT

Introducing Kati Ballantyne our registered veterinary technician here at Swiftsure Equine Veterinary Services. Kati started riding horses at the age of 6 and has had a lifelong passion for them since. Growing up in Ontario she competed in the local and provincial circuit through high school before eventually going on to groom for FEI level hunter/jumper and event riders for 10 years. Through working as a groom Kati developed a passion for equine healthcare and sports medicine and went back to school to the University of Guelph for their veterinary technician program graduating in 2020. After graduation Kati went into equine practice for 1.5 years but wanted to grow her technical training as a veterinary technician and went on to work in emergency medicine here in Victoria before returning to equine technician work last year, bringing along the hands-on experience and training from animal emergency medicine.
